About the Project
MHC HealthCare (MHC) was founded in August 1987 by Dr. Semyon Friedman, a former professor of Chemical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. The company has grown from one clinic, one physician, and one physical therapist to over 60 clinics in Maryland, Virginia, and about 150 employees and contractors. Early on Dr. Friedman recognized that to successfully grow, the company needed technology solutions to manage multiple clinics and provide consistently high-quality service. Starting in 2002 MHC partnered with Dynamo to develop a novel business model and implement modern technology for the internal and external flow of information.

Project Results
The Dynamo team started with a Windows desktop application collecting patients’ information and electronic signatures in 2002 for a single office. At this time, 18 years later, HIPAA compliant cloud application supports over 60 clinics in multiple states with electronic patients’ kiosks, case management, high-volume automated faxing, online scheduling, billing automation, electronic medical records, secure access for attorneys and insurance companies, and many other features making MHC business team more efficient and providing patients with better services.
